The Colossi of Memmon are two huge statues. They are the only remaining standing statues fronting the mortuary temple of the Imonhotep III.

The temple of El Deir - Elbahri (the temple of The Queen Hatshepsut) is one of the most beautiful temples we have in Egypt. It had been cut into the mountain and was built by the queen Hatshepsut (the strong woman who ruled Egypt in the 15th century B.C.). It was used as her mortuary temple.

The Valley of the Kings (when Luxor was the capital of Egypt, the kings chose this valley to be their burial place hidden among the hills) contains more than 62 tombs cut by the kings from the 18th, 19th & 20th dynasties. The Valley of the Kings got its fame from the discovery the tomb of the golden king Tut Ankh Amon.

Finally you are going to take an experience for the life style of the local people on the West Bank, and you will also have the chance to know some of their handcrafts.

As soon as you will finish your visit on the West Bank, you will drive to the East Bank where you will take your lunch and have a break to be ready for the second part of the tour.

On The East bank you will visit The Complex of Karnak Temples which is the second biggest religious complex in all over the world!!!! It has the largest hypostyle hall (columned hall built by the king Ramses II) in the world with 134 columns. It was built by different generations of the pharaohs. In it you will see the tallest obelisk (Hatshepsut's obelisk) in Egypt.

At the end of the first day you will drive to a 4 star hotel on BB basis where you are going to stay your night. For more entertainment optionally in the evening you can do the following: Sound & Light show of Karnak Temples – 25 GBP per person or Luxor city tour by horse carriage and visit the old market – 25 GBP per person.

On the second day morning after taking your breakfast you will be picked up by A/C van, then head to Aswan on the 220 kilometers drive of three hours.

In Aswan you will visit the High Dam of Aswan which was built on the River Nile in 1971 and is considered one of huge dams. The High Dam is considered one of the main sources for generating electricity in Egypt.

Then you will go to the Unfinished Obelisk which is the largest known ancient obelisk. Archaeologists claim the pharaoh known as Hatshepsut sanctioned its construction. It is nearly one third larger than any ancient Egyptian obelisk ever erected. If finished it would have measured around 42 m (approximately 137 feet) and would have weighed nearly 1,200 tons (1,066,621 kilograms). Archeologists speculate that it was intended to complement the so-called Lateran Obelisk which was originally at Karnak and is now outside the Lateran Palace in Rome. (Thutmose III obelisk in Lateran, Rome: 105 ft) Other archaeologists suggest that the pharaoh Hatshepsut ordered it to be built to celebrate her sixteenth year in power.

After that you will visit Temple of Philae. Now visitors can take a boat to drop them off to Agilika island, where both the magnificent temples of Isis, and Hathor are major attractions on the Island.

After that you will get your lunch which will be offered in a restaurant in Aswan. Then you will make a stop at an aroma therapies factory, where they produce many different scents used for healing and beautiful perfume bottles.

By the end of the day you will drive to Aswan airport to catch your flight to Cairo. Upon your arrival in Cairo you will find our English speaking guide waiting for you to give you a lift to a 4 star hotel where you will spend 2 nights in it on BB basis.

On the following day morning after taking your breakfast you will be picked up by A/C van, then head to Alexandria on the 220 kilometers drive of two and half hours.

In Alexandria you will visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. The Catacombs (meaning underground tunnels) lie in the district of Karmouz to the east of Alexandria. The area was called Kom El-Shouqafa or a pile of shards. The cemetery dates back to the 1st century A.D and was used until the 4th century A.D. It was discovered in 1900 when by pure chance, a donkey drawn cart fell into a pit, which led to the discovery.

Then you will go to Qaitbay Fort which is an impressive building, located on a narrow peninsula where one of the ancient wonders of the world, the famous lighthouse -- the Pharos once stood. The Fort was built in the 15th century and now houses a naval museum. You'll need about an hour to explore the rooms and towers, as well as the museum which houses some interesting weapons. The Fort also offers beautiful views of the city of Alexandria as well as the Mediterranean.
